Our Design Practice

Our national Design Practice is committed to providing a respected voice for design leadership across New Zealand and the south-Pacific region. We have a team of 70 architects, urban designers and landscape architects who are committed to creative design.
Our award-winning architectural design work includes, airports, retail, commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial and infrastructure projects and our work ranges from land development, master planning and large scale mixed use projects through to commercial interior and workplace design.
Our studios are supported by teams of inspired and motivated professionals who enjoy working with one another and facing the challenges of taking Beca forward.

The opportunity

This is an opportunity to play an influential role in coaching and mentoring our developing professionals. We’re looking for an experienced Project Architect with leadership capability to play an active role in our high performing culture initiatives.

You’ll be driven by a passion for design and a desire to create quality environments. We’ll be relying on your experience and personal qualities to champion design excellence, lead our aspiring designers and to deliver quality project outcomes throughout the entire project lifecycle.


About you

We’re looking for an architect with a collaborative and inclusive style. You’ll need a diverse design experience from a varied commercial background, ideally you’ll be NZRAB registered (or international equivalent) and have approx. 10 years’ experience, along with knowledge of the New Zealand standards and building code.

This is an opportunity to be part of a broader design team including Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Planners. We’d be keen for you to champion design excellence and be willing to work hard to achieve that end.
