Set within a rugged landscape, this certified passive house is shaped by a strong and simple form that responds directly to the climate. The roof slopes toward the prevailing wind, creating a practical and easily understood design, while deep eaves on the north-facing side carefully control solar gain. One of the project’s strengths is the way the exterior form continues clearly into the interior, creating a strong sense of order and consistency. Structural decisions are clear and purposeful throughout. The cladding is carefully detailed and reinforces the building’s solid, monolithic character. Inside, large open spaces are balanced with warm, rich materials, creating rooms that feel both generous and grounded.
