The potential of an old industrial warehouse has been cleverly exploited to provide a new suite of offices for Port Nelson. A carefully regulated assemblage of work stations and low partitioned focused work areas are unified under a revealed saw-tooth roof, from which natural light descends through skeletal steel trusses. Structural strengthening, thermal and acoustic treatment and building services have been seamlessly integrated, with texture added by vertical wood screens, indoor plants and integrated murals that express the history of the port.
