Inspiration for this elegant, sculptural bridge came from artwork in the adjacent Parnell Baths. The fluid and abstracted swimmers in the mosaic mural by artist James Turkington motivated an angular and sinuous language. The crisp, fluid response is perfect for the context, contributing sculpture to the waterfront experience and connecting the iconic baths with Tamaki Drive both in body and spirit.
