This simple bach dwelling for a young family of four offers outstanding views and retreat on a hillside site. The architecture is strong and well-managed: a well proportioned gable form, simple materials, �no fuss� interior and appropriate detailing. A corner covered deck draws the views and surrounding tussock landscape into the main living area. This 150m2 barn is an excellent example of New Zealand vernacular, both in design and construction.
