The Red Cottage is a thoughtful renovation of a much-loved home, designed to support its owners as they age in place. A previously fragmented split-level layout has been reworked into a more connected living environment that feels light, open, and calm, providing a restful backdrop to the changing estuary views beyond. Accessibility has been carefully integrated throughout the design. A discreet lift and sculptural stair create visual connection between levels while allowing easy and safe movement through the home. Sensitive and carefully resolved, the project brings greater clarity, comfort, and long-term usability to a cherished family home.
