The economical structure astutely solves entry issues and provides a multi-functional space for the city. The architects have fought hard for a clear solution to the whole building environment. Innovative seismic strengthening work has saved the stadium from demolition, wide terraces and paved surfaces gracefully blend the building with park and river, and outdoor materials unite with indoor in the graceful transition across the threshold.
