St Cuthbert's College Centennial Centre for Wellbeing
One of the country’s best swimming pools is the centrepiece of a high-quality, multi-purpose building. Planning clarity allows for the simultaneous staging of many activities. The building is designed to be busy while also allowing its users to focus on their particular pursuit, be it a lesson, training session or competition event. The spectator experience is well-considered, as is the connection to adjacent outdoor courts and playing areas; moveable bleachers enhance this connection. Natural light, glazing and materials are all handled well to produce a venue that encourages both elite performance and enjoyable participation.
