2018 Auckland Architecture Awards Winner
Manukau Bus Station
This project represents an excellent engagement with mana whenua and application of Te Aranga principles to generate a compelling design that is completely of this place. From the metaphor of a kite has been created a lovely, light floating structure. The simplicity of the plan distils the complex inputs from multiple stakeholders. The ventilation and treatment of finishes, and clever transition between the street and interior, have been thoughtfully resolved.
