The restoration of a run-down old drapery building at the edge of Cuba Street shows the way forward for sensitive urban renewal. Two new apartments on the top of the building provide a welcome urban intervention and some financial return for this labour of love project, which accommodates several businesses at the heart of the Cuba Street precinct. Heritage has been restored and decorum returned to Swan Lane.
