Victoria University of Wellington, Campus Hub and Library Upgrade
Victoria University’s Kelburn campus has at last been given a focal point around which social and learning activities can take place. Conceived of as a ‘Great Room’, the project extends into the surrounding buildings to carefully interconnect library and teaching resources with a range of spaces supporting informal learning and social activities. The omnipotent reading room hovers overhead as a not too subtle reminder of the foundations on which understanding is built. This environmentally responsible facility will serve the university for a long time.
