Lake Hawea Courtyard House
Cleverness, dexterity and an element of surprise are to be expected from Glamuzina Paterson Architects, and the practice’s courtyard house at Lake Hawea does not disappoint. The local vernacular is turned inside out and new ways are found to deal with climatic extremes. The house and its sheltering walls ride the rolling site at the foot of Mt Maude like a boat in a medium swell.
