In this project a significant heritage building has been completely rejuvenated and equipped for contemporary use and future survival. The salvation of the neglected building, which included base isolating the structure against seismic threat, is a well-executed exemplar of the restoration approach to heritage architecture. The building's history has been celebrated, while the insertion of contemporary furniture has allowed functional and relevant occupation.
