The jury was impressed by the studio’s disciplined ‘less is more’ approach to its workplace fitout, focusing on adaptability and reducing waste rather than creating unnecessary visual impact. The architecture studio uses a light-touch interior approach that keeps the existing building visible while supporting flexible ways of working. More than 85 per cent of the fitout can be relocated or reused, showing a strong commitment to circular design and long-term sustainability. Joinery, services, and room divisions are designed to be temporary and adaptable rather than fixed in place, helping reduce material use and future waste. The project provides a thoughtful and practical model for low-impact commercial interiors through simplicity, clarity, and care.
