The Majestic Church has a history of breathing life into pre-existing buildings. Its new home in a former industrial complex continues its contribution to retaining and enhancing the city’s urban fabric and cultural heritage. The Durham Street elevation features diamond-shaped GRC scales and eyelike windows that give the building an almost-alive look. The arrival courtyard, glazed circulation spaces and main auditorium all retain the materials, features and texture of the industrial past, but provide a welcoming spiritual home for both visitors and congregants.
