In this new headquarters for the Mystery Creek Events Centre a strong, single pitched-roof form combined with grass berms creates an impression of a building emerging from the landscape, and establishes a prominent landmark for the facility. The natural exterior materials of ground concrete and cedar, combined with muted colours, allow the building to sit comfortably in the rural environment. The long pitched-roof generates a variety of internal volumes and, combined with exposed services and the bold use of strong colours, creates a vibrant interior.
