By successfully incorporating a range of different uses and employing innovative and sustainable materials in the design, the architects have provided a facility that celebrates, engages with and and is meaningful to the local community. The design of an LVL structure for the gymnasium and covered courts and the detailing of the cladding has challenged local construction methodologies, while the integration of locally sourced artworks has added a welcoming and uplifting nature to the centre.
