In the spirit of Kant’s observation that “out of the crooked timber of humanity no straight thing was ever made” the architects have transformed the rigid and rectilinear layout of the School of Psychology’s offices into a freer-formed, light and airy environment. Custom-designed fittings make a sculptural contribution to the fit-out, and a wall of exposed concrete is juxtaposed with new and highly finished materials to lively and resonant effect.
