The architects brought an optimistic sprit and innovative approach to this project, and turned an unprepossessing former retail space into a pleasant, functional and much-needed civic amenity. The project is sustainable in the widest use of that term, that is, it uses an existing building and turns it into a healthier environment for users, but it also promotes the cause of a sustainable community.
