With four green stars, Kakariki House is the first building in the Waikato-BOP to achieve certified green star rating. The architects have successfully transformed an older, outdated facility while keeping expressive elements of the original structure and merging them with those of the new design. The brief to create accommodation with a ‘green feel’ has been answered in style.
