in:situ
Join us at in:situ for a day of inspiration, innovation and conversation. An amazing line-up of international keynote speakers include Kai-Uwe Bergmann of BIG, Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang, Junya Ishigami of Junya Ishigami + Associates and Sandra Barclay and Jean Pierre Crousse of Barclay & Crousse Architecture. The day will be facilitated by Oliver Wainwright, architecture critic of The Guardian.
Our speakers will share insights about their practice and projects and the international regions and contexts in which they create architecture. It is a wonderful opportunity for members to connect with colleagues and friends.
In:situ 2024 takes place on Wednesday 21 February.
Early-bird registration is available until midnight 20 December. Registered architects earn at least 60 CPD points.

Waiheke Island Architecture Tour
Our post-in:situ architecture tour is always popular and this outing to Waiheke Island promises to showcase the very best in residential architecture. We will visit five houses, each designed to make the most of Motu Wai Heke’s (island of trickling waters) coastal typography, climate and spectacular views.
On Thursday 22 February the boat departs central Auckland at 8.30am, and morning tea will be served aboard. Once on the island, you will be transported by bus to the respective projects, where 30 minutes has been allocated to make the most of each locale. After touring the five dwellings, we will enjoy a long lunch at The Heke, a restaurant, craft beer brewery and whiskey distillery at Onetangi. We’ll leave Waiheke for the city at 4.30pm and be back on shore by 6pm.
Sold out. If you wish to be placed on a cancellation list, please email conference@nzia.co.nz with your name and the number of tickets you require.

FAQs
How do I book my ticket for in:situ?
Payment must be made at time of registration either via credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or using POLI payment.
Individuals
For NZIA members, enter your email address or membership number. If prompted (members only) log in to the website and proceed with booking. Your log in will automatically amend pricing to match your membership. Please list all dietary requirements at the time of booking.
For non-members, enter your email address and you will be charged the general admission cost.
Practices
For practices wanting to book for two or more staff, please ensure you are logged in as your Practice (as the invoice will then be created under the Practice name), then enter the staff member’s NZIA membership number to ensure the correct rate is charged. Note: A work email address may not be the email that the member has linked to their membership account.
To obtain a list of staff NZIA membership numbers linked to your practice, email conference@nzia.co.nz. If a staff member is not showing on this list, check with them on whether they are an NZIA member, and if so, obtain their membership number directly from them. This method ensures that all attendees are charged at the correct rate. Please include dietary requirements at the time of booking.
For practices wanting to book for 10 or more people and require an invoice for payment, please email conference@niza.co.nz with your request. A list of staff NZIA membership numbers linked to your practice will be sent to you. Select those on the list that need to be ticketed, include any additional staff members that are non-members (along with dietaries), and return to us for processing.
If a practice would like to be invoiced for a booking for less than 10 people, an admin fee of $80 will be charged.
