Rotorua Energy Events Centre
The project consists of an 8000m² multi purpose event centre comprising large sports halls with specialist flooring, seating and lighting, plus conference facility and a grand hall concourse, connected to the existing sports drome. Parking and landscaping for 400 cars, located on a sensitive lakeside site. Environmental and cultural (specifically Maori) concerns are respected in the design. The competition was won because of the high quality of the design, and in particular our company’s strong record of understanding the process of communication and consultation with the community.
