The Student Architecture Network of New Zealand (SANNZ) is the student analogue of the NZIA. Since 2008, SANNZ has been developing initiatives that extend, engage, and support architecture students in Aotearoa New Zealand. SANNZ aims to bridge the gap between university students and industry professionals, by promoting an engaging environment for students to develop networks that will support them in their future careers.
SANNZ represents students at six schools of architecture in New Zealand:
Our representatives at each school aim to host regular social events, showcase student work and provide opportunities for students to broaden their networks within their local architecture communities. To foster greater connections across Aotearoa New Zealand, SANNZ hosts our national event: the 24Hr Design Competition, as an opportunity for students throughout the nation to come together, work together, and learn together.
Keep an eye on our Instagram page to see what is happening in your area!
All student members (sign up, it's free!) of the NZIA also become members of SANNZ.
