In this small factory-warehouse addition, inclusive of an office, reception, meeting room and staff lunchroom, the potential of timber and its finishing is beautifully showcased. Interior panelling, faceted display cabinets, upholstered benches and fluted reception and table supports exquisitely demonstrate the beauty of crafted timber. More routine interior timber and wall panelling offsets these finer finishes, while decking and a wonderfully considered timber seating alcove outside opens to a more robust setting—a landscaped setting with fruiting trees and ornamental groves. The sequence of spaces and experiences offered here compellingly marry a celebration of timber with broader concerns for staff and visitor comfort and wellbeing.
