Registered Project Architect (10+ Years) – Complex Buildings
Auckland or Christchurch
We are looking to expand our team of talented and dedicated people to collaborate on projects throughout New Zealand and Australia. We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our Auckland or Christchurch Studio in a full time, permanent capacity, supporting our Complex Projects, including but not limited to Corrections, Justice, and Healthcare.
Skills & Experience
Project Architects work under the direction of the Studio Associate Directors and the NZ Director, requiring close working relationships with their project team at MODE to deliver high quality design, documentation and construction outcomes. They will lead their team in a highly effective manner which includes mentoring and overviewing Architects and junior staff as appropriate to meet deadlines and project requirements.
Profile and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will have
Design Qualifications and Industry Knowledge: A qualification recognized in New Zealand in Architecture. Candidate should be results-driven, team-focused and have a thorough legislative and construction code understanding.
10+ years Professional Experience: With over ten years of professional experience and holding an active New Zealand Architectural Registration, the candidate will demonstrate strong design ability, excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving.
Sector-Specific Experience: Demonstrated project specific experience in complex projects, ideally one of the following Sectors; Corrections, Justice, or Healthcare
Stakeholder Communication and Project Management: Proven stakeholder communication and project management skills, including oversight of profitability, QA processes, and effective coordination with sub-consultants while supporting Sector Leads and mentoring Junior team members.
BIM and Project Design Capability: Strong project design capability, including being proficient at and having an advanced understanding of the Revit documentation and BIM coordination skills required throughout the project lifecycle from design to delivery.
