Senior Interior Designer - Ministry

About the Role:

We have a need for a Wellington-based skilled and motivated Commercial Interior Designer or Interiors-focused Architect to join our expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity to exercise a wide range of skills from design and client presentations to project documentation to delivering projects on site and administering construction contracts.

You will be our first team member based in Wellington, working with team members based in Auckland, Queenstown Lakes, Christchurch and Palmerston North.

Key Responsibilities:

Become a reliable go-to person for our Wellington client-base, and coordinate reliable and consistent responses to design challenges.
Lead and develop creative interior design solutions that meet client needs and project requirements. Strong design support will be provided as needed by Senior Designers from our other offices.

Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success at all stages.

Manage and deliver project documentation and presentation, utilising Archicad. Documentation support can be provided as needed from our other offices, and Archicad training can be provided if not yet an acquired skill.

Maintain a strong understanding of construction processes and standards, ensuring design feasibility and compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

5-10 years of professional experience in commercial interior design (or architecture with an commercial interior design aspect)
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Proficiency in Archicad is highly preferred, or minimum requirement is willingness to learn.
Solid knowledge of construction processes, standards and Building Code compliance pathways.

Motivated, driven, and proactive with a willingness to embrace challenges.
Valid driver’s license is advantageous.
