Miranda & Ruihine Streets Social Housing
Commissioned by Housing New Zealand, this project encompassed the relocation of existing housing stock from a HNZ owned block in Avondale and designing an increased density development to make efficient use of the land. Careful masterplanning increased density from 1/769m2 to 1/318m2 and provided a range of housing choices, providing healthy and safe accommodation in a community village to HNZ design standards. Created from low maintenance materials that have a high resistence to wear and tear, each residence has a private rear garden, a car port and open garden at the front that adds to the feeling of space and greenness.
