Claudelands Event Centre
Transformation of an existing events and community facility into a world class multi-purpose conference and live events centre to accommodate a wide range of exhibitions, conferences, sporting events, concerts and conventions. It incorporates an indoor concert and sports arena seating up to 5,000 with a two-level conference centre and associated exhibition facilities, outdoor plazas, and landscaped spaces. All spaces are linked with a glazed internal concourse lined with a solar shading system design which evokes history of the site, and through which are views to the surrounding Claudelands Park. It incorporates the use of Sustainable Design principles from conception through to ongoing operation and maintenance. - All photos care of Hamilton City Council.
