Parnell Rise
This project involved the refurbishment and conversion of a much-modified 1920’s warehouse building into three levels of high-quality office and showroom accommodation. The steeply sloping site on Parnell Rise in Auckland provided an ideal opportunity to create individual street entries to each level to maximise flexibility in leasing options and minimise the cost of disabled access. The refurbishment re-instates the historical integrity of the building; stripping newer additions back to expose the original features, and inserting new features with care. A major seismic upgrade has been carried out. A new three level car parking building, sensitively proportioned and detailed, sits respectfully next to its older sibling.
