Pine Harbour Masterplan
Pine Harbour has a 600-berth marina, soon to be extended to 850 berths. A successful ferry service runs from the marina to Auckland City encouraging commuter travel, this along with an imminent new road to Beachlands and Maraetai, sees Pine Harbour poised for substantial growth and potentially to become the commercial hub for the Pohutukawa Coast. Construkt were engaged in 2006 to prepare a master plan for all shore-based development on the 9.6 ha site. Over the past few years the masterplan has evolved into a comprehensive transit oriented development (TOD) that has culminated in a plan change application that will see areas of declamation with water edge apartment and mixed use development. Construkt have also been responsible for the design of the first of the commercial building designs as part of the masterplan.
