Sky Tower
The 328m high Sky Tower is a distinctive marker and emerging icon in the Auckland isthmus. The elegant shape was inspired by an extensive history of tall structures and spires, layered with a contemporary architectural language and technology. There are seven public levels comprising of entry/interpretive centre, cafe', observation, external deck, a revolving restaurant and Sky Deck. Innovative design techniques were used in fire and emergency procedures, building, maintenance and architectural detailing, and cladding design.
